Sound Notifications in G&T TraderPRO

Sound Notification functionality is now enabled in G&T TraderPRO.

 

You can enable it in Platform Settings -> Notifications.

 

Requires latest PRO version -  the upgrade should be accepted promptly at your login.

 

Touch ID login (Android)

This is how you log in to G&T Trader via your Touch ID-enabled Android device:

 

After installing the App from the Google Play Store you will be prompted with the option of using Android Fingerprint as verification if your device meets the following requirements:

 

  • Device running above Android 6 or above
  • Device is equipped with a fingerprint sensor
  • You are have at least one fingerprint registered for device authentication

 

At your first login you will be informed of the option of using Fingerprint.

 

 

At this point you have 3 options:

 

  • Dismiss Fingerprint verification by selecting NO. You will be asked again at the next login.
  • Dismiss Fingerprint verification and tick "Do not ask again". The Fingerprint option will not be displayed again unless you clear the app cache or uninstall and re-install the app from Google Play.
  • Enable Fingerprint as an option by selecting YES. This will store your credentials in the Android Keystore system and the Fingerprint option will be displayed at every subsequent launch of the app.

 

If you only have 1 user ID, the Android Fingerprint will apply the login credentials automatically upon successful Fingerprint verification. 

 

You can also choose to store multiple IDs across both demo and live accounts by selecting CANCEL and entering the new credentials in the ligin form at which point you will be prompted to either replace the current credentials or have them added as a second set.
Upon successful Fingerprint verification, you will be able to edit the list of stored user IDs as well as select which login credentials to apply.

 

 

The platform is not loading data. What do I do?

If your computer has a firewall or other security software (network monitoring software), data traffic to our trading platforms G&T Trader and G&T TraderPRO might be affected. 

 

In some cases, you might also experience problems to login or logout.

 

The software products currently known for causing such issues are (more products might apply too, even if not listed): 

 

You can mitigate the login issues by dectivating the network monitoring software, when using G&T Trader or G&T TraderPRO.

I get the message "Exposure cannot be increased due to client configuration". What should I do?

The message "Exposure cannot be increased due to client configuration" can be linked to different causes.

 

Please check if you have received notifications from Galt & Taggart about renewing of personal details by e-mail or on the platform.

 

If yes, please follow instructions to submit the requested details, as that could be a reason you cannot open new positions and increase the exposure.

 

If this is not the case please contact us and we will be happy to investigate further.

Touch ID login (iOS)

This is how you log in to G&T Trader via your Touch ID-enabled iOS device:

 

 

 

If the touch ID is enabled on the G&T Trader settings, you are presented with the above message at you first login. You can decide to use it or keep the standard client verification by entering User ID and Password. You can always disable or enable it later, you just need to go to the iPhone/iPad Settings , look for G&T Trader and here activate or deactivate Touch ID enabled:

 

 

Can anti-virus software prevent me from installing G&T TraderPRO?

Certain anti-virus software may prevent G&T TraderPRO from downloading and/or installing correctly. If you experience issues, please consult your anti-virus software and make sure to set G&T TraderPRO as a trusted/allowed application.

I have technical issues with my Android phone, what can I do to resolve?

As a very first step: check your network access

If you have poor or limited access to the internet/network, the App may load slowly or not at all.

If network access is not the issue, then please try the following steps - explained in detail below:

 

·         Get the latest version of the App

·         Force stop and restart the App

·         Clear cache and data

·         Uninstall and reinstall the App

·         Change your password

 

Get the latest version of the App

We often release updates for the App to fix common issues.

1.      Open the Google Play Store App

2.      Tap Play Store/My Apps

3.      If the App is listed under "Updates", tap Update

4.      Tap Accept

If the App isn't in the "Updates" sections or says "Installed", your App is up-to-date

 

Force stop and restart the App

Force stopping the App with refresh its active memory.

1.      Press your device's Home button

2.      Press your device's Menu button/tap Settings

3.      Tap Application Manager

4.      Find and tap G&T Trader App that's not working/giving you troubles/problems

5.      Tap Force Stop

6.      Re-launch the App and attempt to reproduce the issue

Clearing your cache and data will delete temporary files the App is using. These files will be recreated the next time you launch the App.

1.      Press your device's Home button

2.      Press your device's Menu button/tap Settings

3.      Tap Application Manager

4.      Find and tap the G&T Trader App

5.      Tap Force Stop

6.      Tap Clear Data

7.      Tap Clear Cache

8.      Re-launch the App and attempt to reproduce the issue

 

Uninstall and reinstall the App

If the Application files have become corrupt, you can easily fix the issue by reinstalling the App

 

Change your password

If your password contains special characters, it's possible that your device has incopatibility issues with it. Try changing your password to exclude special characters. You can try to change your password on your G&T Trader or Web Trader or call Service Center for help.

 

 

G&T Trader troubleshooting for iPhone and iPad

The platform communicates with many servers in order to display different information (Prices, Charts etc.). In some cases, your local settings can block parts of the trading platform from communicating with one or more of those, causing the problems you are experiencing.



1 - Configure Safari Network

      Clear History:

      Go to Settings > Safari > Tap Clear history and Website Data


      Allow Cookies:

      Go to Settings>Safari>scroll down to Privacy & Security>set Block Cookies on Always Allow
 
 
2 - Enable Java

      Go to Settings >Safari >Advanced >JavaScript and turn it On
 
3 - Turn off and restart the Iphone/Ipad

4 - Remove and reinstall the G&T Trader app

5 - Remember to accept updates when available
 
 
If the problem persists, please provide us with a screenshot of the error. In order to take a screenshot on your iPhone/iPad, press and hold the On/Off/Lock (Sleep/Wake) button on the top or right of your Iphone/Ipad then immediately press and release the Home button. You can find the screenshot in your Photos app. Open Photos, select the picture and send it to us.
