Protection of Funds

Galt & Taggart is licensed by the National Bank of Georgia (brokerage license: #820 (10.09.2014)). We ensure that all client funds deposited with us are held in a segregated bank accounts in accordance with regulations. Segregated money is held separately from our own funds and cannot be used by us for operational purposes. Under the law, this money is protected and unavailable to general creditors in the unlikely event of Galt & Taggart ceasing to operate or becoming insolvent.

• Your money is held in a segregated client bank accounts at regulated banks.
• Your money and assets (shares, for example) are never merged with our own money or assets.
• Galt & Taggart complies with strict regulatory requirements when handling client money.
• Your assets are held by a custodian in segregated (nominee) client asset accounts.
• Your money and assets are not available to creditors in the unlikely event that Galt & Taggart goes into liquidation.
• Galt & Taggart doesn’t use your money or assets for business activities, including for hedging trades with other counterparties (or as margin for our own hedging trades).
• All accounts are monitored and reconciled on a daily basis to further protect the integrity of clients’ funds.

Galt & Taggart is audited and we are required to regularly send financial and other regulatory reports to the National Bank of Georgia, verifying the company’s financial stability and ultimate adherence to meeting capital requirements set by local regulations.
